According to media reports, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that these sanctions would take effect. As part of the sanctions, the assets of blacklisted US individuals and entities in China will be frozen, and any business dealings with them will be prohibited.
The Ministry confirmed that executives of the blacklisted companies will also be barred from entering China. The announcement follows the recent US approval of additional arms sales to Taiwan, a move that Beijing strongly opposes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision violates the “One China” principle and the three joint communiqués between the US and China. It further accused the US of interfering in China’s internal affairs and undermining its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The US companies blacklisted by China include Cyberlux Corporation, Near Earth Autonomy, Huvr AI, Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Firestorm Labs, Synexis, Shield AI, Red Six Solutions, RapidFlight, Brink Drones, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Domo Tactical Communications, and Group W.
In addition, two executives from a subsidiary of Raytheon—Barbara Borgonovi and Gerard Hueber—along with BAE Systems CEO Charles Woodburn, United Technologies senior official Richard Crawford, Datalink Solutions President Beth Adler, and Brink Drones CEO Blake Resnick, have also been sanctioned.
This development comes after the US Department of Defense approved an arms package worth nearly $2 billion for Taiwan in October, which included the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) and radar systems.
