Artificial Intelligence (AI) internet technology company OpenAI has made its search engine more accessible, allowing users to utilize it just like Google.
ChatGPT introduced its search engine in October 2024, initially offering premium features for a fee. However, in December 2024, OpenAI announced its plans to make the search engine more user-friendly for everyone. Now, the company has made it even more accessible by removing the requirement to create an account.
According to a technology website, users can now open and use ChatGPT’s search engine on any desktop web browser without needing an account or logging in. This means users can search on ChatGPT just like they do on Google.
ChatGPT claims that its search engine is powered by AI tools, allowing users to search not only via text but also through voice commands.
It is also worth mentioning that while ChatGPT has made its search engine easier to use, the company recently introduced a new version of the ChatGPT AI bot for free.
ChatGPT has been rolling out multiple free features following the emergence of its Chinese competitor, DeepSeek, to stay competitive, as the Chinese company offers all its features for free.
