Islamabad, February 14, 2026: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reviewed progress on development work in several new sectors of the federal capital and announced that possession of plots in key areas will begin soon.

The review meeting, chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, focused on infrastructure completion and the handover of plots to allottees in Sectors C-14, E-12 and I-12. Senior CDA officials, including members for administration, engineering and planning, attended the session.

Officials briefed the chairman that basic infrastructure work in Sector C-14 is in its final stages and plots are ready to be handed over. The formal process of granting possession to allottees is expected to commence shortly.

Randhawa directed that street number signboards be installed and plot locations in Sector C-14 be marked on Google Maps to facilitate allottees.

Progress in Sector E-12 and I-12

CDA officials informed the meeting that basic infrastructure work in sub-sectors 1 and 2 of Sector E-12 has been completed. Plots in these sub-sectors are also ready for possession.

The chairman instructed authorities to ensure a clear main entry into Sector E-12 and to remove illegal constructions and encroachments in accordance with the law. He also directed that plot locations in E-12 be identified and updated on Google Maps at the earliest.

Regarding Sector I-12, officials said that nearly all residential and commercial plots have been developed. The process of formally handing over possession of these plots to owners will begin soon.

Focus on plot possession and amenities

Randhawa said providing possession of developed plots to citizens remains a top priority for the CDA. He noted that the authority is moving toward handing over plots in new sectors of Islamabad after decades.

He directed that developed plot locations across all sectors be marked digitally to ensure transparency and ease of access for citizens. He also instructed that the pace of remaining development work be accelerated and that basic amenities be ensured alongside the possession process.

The CDA reiterated that available resources will be mobilised to complete development in the new sectors and improve residential facilities in the federal capital.
