ISLAMABAD, September 3: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has accelerated work on the upgradation of Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave, aiming to transform the area with improved infrastructure, enhanced security systems and modern urban facilities.

The project is designed to improve the overall environment of the Diplomatic Enclave through upgraded roads, pedestrian facilities, landscaping, horticulture, modern lighting systems and improved public spaces, further strengthening Islamabad’s image as a modern and prestigious federal capital.

The CDA said Chairman CDA has directed the Special Projects Directorate to speed up work on the project, including construction of a new boundary wall and strengthening of security infrastructure.

Focus on international-standard facilities

The CDA said improved pedestrian facilities, modern lighting, upgraded roads and better-designed public spaces would enhance the functionality, appearance and overall experience of the area.

The project aims to provide diplomats, residents, international visitors and official delegations with a secure, organised and dignified environment.

The authority said the upgradation initiative is part of its broader vision to develop Islamabad as a safe, attractive and professionally managed capital city meeting international standards.

Diplomatic community welcomes initiative

The upgraded Diplomatic Enclave is expected to present a more positive and modern image of Pakistan to the international diplomatic community while providing improved facilities for diplomats, foreign delegations, investors and business representatives.

Members of the diplomatic community have welcomed the CDA’s initiative, describing the ongoing work as an important step towards improving security, infrastructure and landscaping in the area.

The project reflects the vision of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and CDA Chairman for developing a Diplomatic Enclave that represents Pakistan’s prestige, Islamabad’s unique identity and contemporary international standards.
