ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) commercial plot auction continued successfully for the second day in Islamabad, with properties worth a total of Rs16.438 billion sold during the first two days of the three-day auction.
The auction, being held at the Jinnah Convention Centre, attracted investors and businesses seeking commercial investment opportunities in the federal capital.
On the second day, CDA auctioned several commercial properties, including plots and shops located in key areas of Islamabad, generating significant revenue for the city’s development projects.
Key Properties Auctioned on Second Day
An agro farm located on Murree Road, Agro Farm No. 18, was sold for Rs1.212 billion, while Agro Farm No. 17-A, also situated on Murree Road, was auctioned for Rs966 million.
In Blue Area Parking Plaza, several constructed shops were also successfully auctioned.
Shop No. 8-A was sold for Rs152.646 million, Shop No. 10-A fetched Rs147.706 million, and Shop No. 12-A was auctioned for Rs153.634 million.
According to CDA officials, properties worth Rs2.631 billion were sold on the second day of the auction, while the first day generated sales worth Rs13.806 billion.

Auction Revenue to Support Islamabad Development
The three-day commercial plot auction will continue until August 6 at Jinnah Convention Centre, providing investment opportunities in Islamabad’s commercial sector.
CDA Auction Committee Chairman Muhammad Umair said the revenue generated through the auction would be utilized for improving the city’s infrastructure, completing major development projects, addressing public service challenges, and resolving water-related issues.
He said all received bids would undergo detailed scrutiny before being presented before the CDA Board, which is the authorized forum to approve or reject the proposals.
Muhammad Umair also thanked investors and participants for their interest in the auction, saying CDA remains committed to improving civic facilities, developing infrastructure, and promoting the planned growth of Islamabad.
