ISLAMABAD: Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the F-8 Interchange project to review the progress of development activities on the project. He also chaired a meeting on-site. On this occasion Member Engineering, Member Admin, Member Planning and Design and senior officers of relevant department and project’s contractor was also present.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa was briefed that drilling and concrete work for the project’s test piling had been completed, and arrangements for load testing have been completed. He was further informed that work would be accelerated after the completion of the load test.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that construction work on the project should continue 24/7 and that safety measures should be ensured by adopting best engineering practices. He also emphasized the transplantation of large plants falling in the project’s site.
Chairman CDA directed that work on relocation of various service lines from the interchange site be completed at earliest. He mentioned that he would personally monitor the progress and quality of the construction work on the project. He added that the completion of the project would help improve traffic flow in the capital.
