LAHORE — The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as CBD Punjab, has allocated 55.9 acres of land for green spaces at CBD NSIT City, an emerging information technology hub being developed in Lahore.

Officials said the initiative aims to integrate environmental sustainability into the project while supporting the city’s rapid urban development.

According to CBD Punjab, the green area will be developed in three phases as part of a broader plan to enhance the environmental landscape and liveability of the project area.

Phased park development plan

The first phase will cover approximately 42 acres, followed by a second phase spanning 6.5 acres. The third phase will include the development of 7.4 acres, where plantation drives and park infrastructure will be established.

Authorities say the project is intended to create green spaces that support ecological balance while providing recreational areas for residents, businesses and visitors.

Focus on sustainable urban development

CBD Punjab Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin said the authority aims to promote urban development while ensuring environmental sustainability.

He noted that allocating land for green areas within NSIT City reflects efforts to maintain a balance between economic growth and environmental responsibility.

Officials said the initiative aligns with the broader development vision of the Punjab government, which emphasizes sustainable infrastructure and improved urban planning.

CBD Punjab stated that integrating green spaces into major development projects is part of its long-term strategy to support environmental protection and modern urban transformation in the province.
