According to Bengaluru Police, the deceased, identified as Vishak, had contacted Krishi Thapanda before the incident and reportedly told her that he intended to end his life. The case has drawn attention because of the location of the death, but police have not alleged any wrongdoing by the actress.

Police Say Man Was Battling Depression

Indian media reported that Vishak was found dead on the night of June 24 at Thapanda’s apartment in Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar area.

Preliminary findings indicate that he had been experiencing depression and was a frequent visitor to the actress’s apartment. Police said he was alone in the flat at the time of the incident.

No Suicide Note Recovered

Investigators said no suicide note or video message was found at the scene.

Police stated that after receiving Vishak’s phone call, Krishi Thapanda immediately informed his family members, who rushed to the apartment. However, officials said he had died before they arrived.
