Bushra Ansari, who remains popular for both her acting career and personal vlogs, recently spoke about an incident involving the son of close friends during a podcast appearance.
According to the actress, the couple’s marriage ended after disagreements over living arrangements. The wife reportedly wanted to live separately from her in-laws, while the husband was unwilling to leave his parents.
Bushra said the people involved in the incident were her friends from the banking sector. However, some social media pages allegedly linked her comments to former couple Saira Yousuf and Shahroz Sabzwari, using their photographs alongside reports about her remarks.
In a recent vlog, Bushra expressed surprise over the way her comments had been interpreted. She said she had been speaking with her close associate Maya during the podcast when she shared the story about her friends.
The veteran actress stressed that she had never said the people involved were actors. She explained that she has several friends whose families have only one son and that the incident she described concerned people associated with banking.
Bushra criticised social media pages for allegedly taking statements out of context and creating a different narrative around them.
She also defended Saira Yousuf, describing her as a dignified person and saying that Saira continues to maintain good relations with members of her former in-laws’ family.
Bushra added that Saira shares a close bond with Shahroz Sabzwari’s younger daughter, Zahra, and said there was no reason for her to bring the names of people close to her into an unrelated discussion.
The actress questioned why she would use the names of Saira and Shahroz when discussing an entirely different incident and criticised those who, according to her, deliberately distort statements to generate controversy on social media.
