Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker has stated that to honor Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it doesn’t matter which community you are born into.
Swara Bhasker’s Muslim husband, Fahad Ahmad, contested the Maharashtra state assembly elections on the ticket of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and polling for the state assembly took place today.
Swara Bhasker also campaigned for her husband, traveling door-to-door in his constituency in Mumbai, and giving speeches at rallies.
The actress posted a video on her official social media account in which she strongly responded to critics of her Muslim husband.
She said, “I have heard various accusations against me, and I am here to accept them. It is true that I was born into a Hindu family, and it is also true that I married a Muslim man.”
She went on to add, “Another truth I want to share is that to honor Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it does not matter which community you were born into.”
The Bollywood actress also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in her speech.
It is noteworthy that Swara Bhasker married her Muslim friend Fahad Ahmad in 2023, and they have a daughter named Rabia. Recently, Swara Bhasker and her husband met with prominent Islamic scholar and spokesperson for the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Sajjad Nomani, which led to criticism.
