Bengaluru — Indian actor and entrepreneur Parul Gulati has alleged a financial fraud at her Bengaluru retail store, claiming that two employees were involved in misappropriating company payments over several months.

The actor stated that customers were allegedly made to transfer payments for products into personal bank accounts instead of the official company account. The case has drawn attention after she shared details of the alleged irregularities on social media, saying she spent a full day at a police station during preliminary inquiries.

Alleged irregularities at Bengaluru outlet

According to Gulati, discrepancies in store accounts were first noticed over time, prompting an internal review and a surprise inspection. She alleged that the suspected activity continued for nearly six months, resulting in financial losses to the business.

She further claimed that the store manager has admitted to misappropriating around 800,000 rupees, while another employee, identified as a sales executive, remains absconding.

Customer advisory issued

Following the allegations, Gulati urged customers to verify payment details carefully and ensure transactions are made only to official company accounts. She also advised retaining receipts and confirming billing information during purchases.

Police authorities have not yet issued a detailed public statement on the case.
