Chairperson BISP Hosts Live E-Katcheri to Address Beneficiary Concerns

Islamabad, March 10, 2026: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, held a live E-Katcheri session today at the BISP Headquarters, providing a platform for beneficiaries to voice their concerns directly. The session aimed to hear the public’s issues and ensure prompt resolutions. Director Generals and relevant BISP officers were also present to address the concerns raised.

During the one-hour session, 36 callers from across Pakistan spoke with the Chairperson, and Senator Rubina Khalid listened carefully to each complaint, directing the concerned officials to resolve issues promptly. She emphasized that any negligence in addressing public grievances would not be tolerated.

In a significant announcement for Ramadan, Senator Khalid revealed that the quarterly stipend under the Benazir Kafalat Programme has been increased from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500, with the new quarterly installment being disbursed from today. Additionally, the stipends under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif and Benazir Nashonuma programmes have also been raised by Rs. 500 each to support children’s education and maternal-child health.

The Chairperson advised beneficiaries to ensure they receive the full amount and report any unauthorized deductions immediately. She emphasized that the programme is named after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and encouraged women to stand up for their rights, following her example.

On digital wallets, Senator Khalid urged beneficiaries who have not yet obtained their free SIM for the digital wallet to visit the nearest BISP office. She noted that all future payments will be made through these SIM-linked wallets. BISP staff will assist in activating the wallets to facilitate digital transactions.

Senator Khalid also clarified that all BISP services, including registration, are free of charge, and beneficiaries should be wary of any messages from numbers other than the official BISP number 8171. Messages from other numbers are fake and should be disregarded.
