RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has postponed exams at 64 centres within Rawalpindi city, while maintaining the original schedule for candidates in other districts and suburban areas under its jurisdiction.
According to an official notification, the decision applies only to examination centres located inside the city. Students appearing at centres outside Rawalpindi have been instructed to follow the previously announced timetable.

The postponed papers include Urdu (Compulsory) and Geography of Pakistan scheduled for the morning session, along with Urdu (Compulsory) and Urdu (Dars-e-Nizami Group) in the evening session. The board said revised dates for these exams will be announced later.
The move has created a split situation for candidates, with students in Rawalpindi city facing delays while those in surrounding areas continue as planned.
The decision comes amid a series of disruptions in the twin cities, where recent administrative measures have affected schools, colleges, public offices, and other services.
Separately, students in Rawalpindi recently accessed Class 8 results online through the provincial portal, marking another development in the district’s education system.
