MARDAN: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan has announced the results of the FA and FSc Intermediate Part-II annual examinations, with 39,178 out of 49,250 candidates declared successful.
The board recorded an overall pass percentage of 79.55 percent.
Muhammad Mujeeb of Tufail Shaheed Army College Mardan secured the overall first position with 1,150 marks. Maha Noor Meraj of Girls Cadet College Mardan stood second with 1,143 marks, while Zunaira Fatima of Hadaf College Nowshera secured third position with 1,142 marks.
Group-Wise Position Holders
In the General Science Group, Salma Bibi of Moonlight Public School and College Topi, Swabi, secured first position with 1,096 marks. Abia Hayat of Hadaf College Swabi stood second with 1,080 marks, while Muhammad Hashir of Hadaf College Mardan and Aroosa Gul of The Brighton College Razaar, Swabi, jointly secured third position with 1,074 marks.
In the Pre-Engineering Group, Zubairia Zafar of Girls Cadet College Mardan secured first position with 1,107 marks. Noor-e-Haram stood second with 1,105 marks, while Zoha Zafar and Muhammad Abdullah of Quaid-e-Azam College for Boys Mardan jointly secured third position with 1,094 marks.
In the Humanities Group, Shaista Noor of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Rashakai, Nowshera, secured first position with 1,076 marks. Faiza of Government College for Women Mardan stood second with 1,069 marks, while Kulsoom Naz of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pabbi No. 2, Nowshera, secured third position with 1,056 marks.
Ceremony Held to Honour Position Holders
A ceremony was held to announce the results, where Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Khalid Khan, the chief guest, distributed cash prizes and shields among the position holders.
BISE Mardan Chairman Professor Jehangir Zeb Khan, education department officials, parents and heads of educational institutions attended the ceremony.
Professor Jehangir Zeb Khan said all stages of examination preparation and result compilation were completed in accordance with examination rules and regulations, with a focus on merit and transparency. He congratulated the position holders and appreciated the efforts of parents, teachers and educational institutions.
Controller Examinations Hafiz Muhammad Fayyaz announced the names and marks of the position holders and said necessary measures had been taken to ensure transparency, merit and uniformity in the examination and result system.
