Mumbai, September 3, 2026: Bigg Boss 20 is set to premiere on September 6 with Salman Khan returning as host, while a number of celebrity names are being linked to the upcoming season.
The complete contestant list has not yet been officially announced by the makers. However, recent reports have identified several television actors, film personalities, social media creators, reality stars and sports personalities as possible or expected participants.
Among the most prominent names reportedly associated with Bigg Boss 20 are television actor Aman Gandhi and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi.
Gandhi, known for his television work in shows including Naagin 3 and Bhagya Lakshmi, was recently seen as Rithik Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. Reports have linked his reported exit from the show to his expected participation in Bigg Boss 20.
Isha Rikhi, who has appeared in Punjabi films including Jatt Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and Nikka Zaildar, is another high-profile name reportedly joining the season.
Reported Bigg Boss 20 Contestants
The reported contestant pool includes Geeta Basra, Showik Chakraborty, Amrapali Dubey, Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu, Qazi Touqeer, Arishfa Khan, Anjali Arora, Aryan Kelvin, Mary Kom, Khushi Dubey, Yukti Kapoor, Uditi Singh, Faissal Khan, Kanika Mann, Yung DSA aka Yeda Yung, Rohed Khan and Rhiti Tiwari.
Geeta Basra, former model and actor and wife of former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, is reportedly among those close to entering the show. Bhojpuri actress Amrapali Dubey is also reportedly part of the expected line-up.
The possible participation of boxer Mary Kom has generated particular interest, as her sporting background would bring a different profile to the reality show.
Social media personalities are also expected to feature prominently. Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, Arishfa Khan, Anjali Arora and Aryan Kelvin are among the digital personalities whose names have surfaced in reports.
Some Names Still in Talks
Several other celebrities have reportedly been approached but remain less certain.
These include Niti Taylor, Parth Samthaan, Karan Wahi, Pranali Rathod and Mahhi Vij. Their participation had not been officially confirmed in the reports cited by the source.
Actor Rajat Bedi, who was previously reported as a confirmed contestant, is reportedly no longer part of the Bigg Boss 20 line-up.
Rhiya Ahir and Love Gill Compete for One Spot
Rhiya Ahir and Punjabi actress Love Gill are reportedly competing for one place in the Bigg Boss 20 house through a public voting process.
Ahir gained attention after footage of her during a protest went viral. She has said that she initially had reservations about joining the reality show but later considered the opportunity.
The result of the public vote is expected around the show’s premiere and will determine whether Ahir or Love Gill enters the house.
Bigg Boss 20 Theme and Premiere
The reported theme of Bigg Boss 20 is “Vardhaan,” built around the idea of contestants receiving more than one opportunity during the game.
According to reports, the season is expected to feature two houses, with contestants potentially getting another chance through movement between the two sides of the game.
Bigg Boss 20 will premiere on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The latest reports say the show will stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm and air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.
JioStar has also confirmed that the Hindi edition is part of a six-language Bigg Boss launch planned across India in September.
