Preparations for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 are underway, with producer Bhushan Kumar and his team beginning work on the script for the next installment of the blockbuster horror-comedy franchise. According to Indian media reports, Kartik Aaryan is expected to reprise his popular role as Rooh Baba.
The fourth film is still in the early stages of development, with the production team focusing on the story before moving into pre-production. If plans proceed as expected, filming is likely to begin in the second half of 2027.
Anees Bazmee in Talks to Direct
Reports suggest that filmmaker Anees Bazmee, who directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, is being considered to helm the fourth installment as well.
Bazmee is currently busy filming a separate project starring Akshay Kumar. Once that production concludes, he is expected to begin the creative development of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.
Kartik Aaryan Likely to Return as Rooh Baba
According to media reports, Kartik Aaryan is expected to return as Rooh Baba, the character he portrayed in the franchise’s second and third films. Both movies performed strongly at the box office, making the character a fan favorite.
The original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, released in 2007, starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The franchise was later revived with Kartik Aaryan, whose performances helped establish a new chapter for the successful horror-comedy series.
