District Neelum is largest district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with a total area of 3621 square kilometers.
Situated North and North East of Muzaffarabad, it runs parallel to the Kaghan Valley and is separated from it by snow covered peaks, over 4000 meters above sea level.
When we take view of the snowy moonlight night of the Neelum Valley, it seems as if nature has captured all its tenderness and beauty in a single picture. The blue sky, illuminated by the moon in all its glory, illuminates the snow-capped mountains and the deep silence of the valley.
The village of Neelum Valley are scattered on the ground like small stories. The light golden light shining from their bright grains creates a feeling of soft warmth in this cold night. The smoke rising from the snow on the roofs is a testament to the fact that the burning fireplaces inside are not only fighting the cold but are also giving life and warmth to the houses.
The white sheet of moonlight spreads over the scattered snow of Neelum Valley everywhere as if it were part of a dream. This light is reflected from the snow-covered branches of the trees, giving the atmosphere a mysterious and charming harmony.
In Neelum Valley, the faint scent of wood in the air, the deep silence and the shadows of the mountains make this scene not only an experience to see but also to feel. This is the moment when man feels himself close to the most beautiful and pure touch of nature.
