Timergara — More than 22,000 male and female students in Lower Dir will receive free information technology training under Phase Two of the Bano Qabil programme, as preparations for the start of classes from February have been completed, officials said.
The programme is being implemented under the supervision of Alkhidmat Foundation Lower Dir, which aims to equip young people with practical digital skills to improve employment prospects and self-reliance.
According to Hafizullah Khaksar, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Lower Dir, the initiative is being launched in line with the vision of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s Central Ameer, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. He said the programme has been designed to meet modern market needs, with free IT centres being established in different areas of the district.

Under the second phase, students will be trained in courses such as freelancing, graphic designing, web development, and other advanced digital skills. The interview process for candidates who passed the initial tests in various areas has already been completed.
Hafizullah Khaksar said each course would run for three months, after which successful participants would receive IT certificates certified by Google and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He added that the core objective of the Bano Qabil programme is to prepare youth for future challenges by providing them with market-relevant skills, enabling them to earn a respectable livelihood and contribute productively to society.
