Under the agreement, electric scooters will be provided on subsidised instalments through NBP, with the objective of improving mobility, reducing transportation costs, and promoting sustainable and eco-friendly travel across the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti termed the initiative a major step toward ensuring safe, affordable, and dignified commuting options, particularly for students and working women. He said the scheme would help ease daily travel challenges while encouraging the use of clean energy transport solutions.
The chief minister highlighted that the provincial government’s development agenda prioritises public welfare and practical initiatives that directly improve the quality of life of citizens. He noted that the electric scooter scheme would empower women and youth, support sustainable urban mobility, and contribute to reducing fuel expenses and environmental pollution.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive development, Sarfaraz Bugti said Balochistan would continue to introduce projects that deliver tangible benefits to the public and support long-term economic and social progress across the province.
Officials from the National Bank of Pakistan said the bank remains committed to supporting government-led initiatives that promote financial inclusion, green mobility, and affordable access to modern transport solutions.
