LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court docket (ATC) on Friday granted bail to the Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) founder in four cases related to the May nine riots. ATC Judge Arshad Javed announced the verdict at the bail applications of the PTI founder and directed him to grant surety bonds of Rs. 500,000 to avail the relaxation. During the complaints, Prosecutor General Punjab Syed Farhad Ali Shah offered arguments on the bail packages, declaring that the PTI founder had created a story that, if he had been arrested, positive actions should be taken. He submitted that birthday party management attacked sensitive installations following the PTI founder’s commands. He argued that the bail applications of the PTI founder’s accomplices were dismissed on similar grounds and requested the court to reject the PTI founder’s bail applications as properly. Subsequently, upon of entirety of arguments, the court reserved its verdict on the PTI founder’s bail applications. The court docket also brushed off an utility by the PTI founder’s recommend seeking extra time for arguments, noting that the recommend had already completed his arguments the day gone by, and that repeated arguments might waste time. The courtroom stated that the applications should now be decided. Later, after a brief deliberation, the court introduced the verdict, granting bail to the PTI founder in four instances related to the May nine riots. The PTI founder had filed bail programs in instances of torching the PML-N workplace in Model Town, placing a field on fireplace in front of National Park Gulberg, torching police motors in Gulberg, amongst others. It is pertinent to say that the PTI founder’s bail packages in eight different cases associated with the May nine riots are pending earlier than ATC-1, with lawsuits on those programs scheduled for November 30.
