The International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to announce a new model for the Champions Trophy on December 7.
According to sources, a breakthrough is anticipated regarding the ICC Champions Trophy, with ICC and BCCI reportedly softening their stance following PCB’s firm position.
Sources revealed that a hybrid model will be implemented for three years, under which Pakistan will also not travel to India for ICC events.
Furthermore, it was indicated that the official announcement of the new Champions Trophy model is highly likely on December 7.
It is worth noting that an important ICC meeting to resolve the deadlock over the Champions Trophy took place in Dubai on Thursday but ended without any conclusive outcome. However, Indian media has claimed that the Pakistani proposal has been accepted.
