The death anniversary of Sub-Inspector Adnan Farooq Qureshi, a martyred officer of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police, was commemorated with deep reverence and respect in Mirpur.

DIG Police Mirpur Range Chaudhry Liaqat Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz, and SSP Mirpur Khawar Ali Shaukat laid floral wreaths at the martyr’s grave and paid glowing tribute to his invaluable services for the AJK Police. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.

A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour. National flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were hoisted at the gravesite, symbolizing the pride and honor associated with the martyr’s sacrifice. A large number of police officials and local citizens also attended the memorial.

During the ceremony, attendees expressed their condolences to the martyr’s father, Muhammad Farooq Qureshi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Adnan Qureshi said he was proud of his son’s ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He extended heartfelt gratitude to the divisional and district administration and police officers for their continued support and encouragement.
