Peshawar: Alkhidmat Hospital Dabgari has launched a dedicated weekly clinic to provide long-term medical care and support for children diagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a rare genetic disorder that requires ongoing treatment and monitoring.
Hospital officials said the initiative aims to improve access to specialised healthcare for affected families by offering regular consultations, follow-up care and essential medical support. Under the programme, children received detailed clinical examinations by specialist consultants, while necessary laboratory tests and medicines were provided free of cost to deserving patients.
The hospital said the CAH clinic is part of a long-term healthcare project rather than a one-time activity. The clinic will operate on a weekly basis, providing structured treatment plans, continuous monitoring and medical guidance for children living with the condition.
