ISLAMABAD: Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL) reported a net profit of Rs1.658 billion for the first nine months of 2026, reversing a Rs270 million loss recorded a year earlier, as higher tractor sales and improved operational performance drove a sharp recovery in earnings.
According to the company’s financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, tractor sales increased by 60 percent to 6,587 units, compared with 4,126 units during the corresponding period last year.
The rise in sales helped lift operating revenue by approximately 79 percent to Rs17.511 billion, up from Rs9.761 billion in the first nine months of 2025.
The company’s profitability improved significantly, with gross profit climbing 159 percent to Rs4.477 billion from Rs1.729 billion a year earlier. This represented an increase of Rs2.748 billion.
AGTL’s return to profitability marked a positive swing of Rs1.928 billion in net earnings, reflecting the combined impact of stronger sales volumes and improved operating performance.
Earnings per share reached Rs28.61, compared with a loss per share of Rs4.65 during the corresponding nine-month period of 2025.
Production also increased as the company expanded operations to meet demand. AGTL manufactured 6,967 tractors during the period, up 39 percent from 5,005 units a year earlier.
The stronger growth in sales compared with production indicated an improvement in the company’s sales performance during the reporting period.
Commenting on the results, AGTL Chief Executive Officer Yasin Seker attributed the recovery to improved operational momentum and disciplined business execution.
He said the company remained focused on meeting customer requirements, strengthening operational efficiency and building sustainable long-term performance while remaining mindful of broader market conditions.
The financial results showed improvements across production, sales, revenue and profitability, marking a substantial recovery from the losses reported during the same period last year.
AGTL said it would continue focusing on operational discipline, customer needs and sustainable growth as it navigates changing business conditions.
