Bollywood’s famous actor Akshay Kumar’s new film, “Sky Force,” has been banned in several countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
According to foreign media reports, “Sky Force,” produced under the banner of Medac Films, tells the story of India’s first airstrike, released on India’s Republic Day.
The film’s release has been banned in several Asian countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman. While no official reason for the ban has been provided, sources in the industry suggest that the film’s theme, revolving around tensions between India and Pakistan, may be the potential cause.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time a Bollywood film has been prevented from screening in the Middle East due to its sensitive content.
In “Sky Force,” Akshay Kumar is joined by Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Shardul Thakur, and Veer Pahariya in significant roles. Interestingly, the Indian censor board granted the film a U/A 13+ certificate without any cuts.
