AIOU to host international early childhood conference in hybrid format on April 7–8

Islamabad, April 1, 2026Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will host its fifth international conference on early childhood development on April 7 and 8, bringing together experts, researchers, educators and policymakers through a hybrid format.

The conference, titled “Investing in Early Childhood Development: Building Human Capital,” will allow participants to attend both online and in person, enabling wider national and international participation and knowledge exchange.

According to Conference Secretary Dr. Tooba Saleem, the event aims to highlight the importance of early childhood education, share contemporary research and experiences, and explore effective strategies for the holistic development of children.

Hybrid format to expand access

Organisers said the hybrid and blended approach has been adopted to increase accessibility for participants while aligning with government energy conservation policies. The university will facilitate virtual participation through live-streamed sessions, interactive panel discussions, and online networking opportunities.

Focus on child development and policy dialogue

The conference will feature sessions covering key areas such as early education, child health, nutrition, and psychological development. Prominent national and international experts are expected to share insights on improving early childhood systems and policies.
