AGPR Says Outstanding Media Payments to Be Cleared Within Days

ISLAMABAD: Accountant General Pakistan Revenues Nisar Ahmed Cheema has assured that outstanding payments to media houses will be cleared within the coming days, as coordination between the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues and the Press Information Department is stepped up to expedite pending cases.

Cheema conveyed the assurance during a meeting with Executive Director General and Principal Information Officer Raeesa Adil at the Press Information Department, where he briefed her on progress in processing media-related payments.

He said AGPR remained committed to ensuring that payments to media organisations were released as quickly and efficiently as possible.

PID, AGPR Review Pending Media Payments

Raeesa Adil welcomed the visit and appreciated the ongoing coordination between PID and AGPR to streamline the payment process and reduce delays.

Cheema also visited the relevant PID office in Islamabad to review the status of payments to media houses and assess measures being taken to accelerate processing.

During the visit, he praised PID officers and staff for their coordination and efforts to implement instructions issued by the competent authority.

He also acknowledged the work of the team involved in completing the payment process within the prescribed timeframe.

Institutional Coordination to Be Strengthened

Cheema appreciated the cooperation of officials working to facilitate timely release of media payments and said close coordination between the two institutions remained important for clearing outstanding dues.

The visit also provided an opportunity to review the latest status of pending payments and strengthen institutional coordination between PID and AGPR.

Officials said the objective was to ensure that outstanding media dues are processed and released without unnecessary delay.
