Agents of the cement mafia based in the Kahoon and Salt Range areas blamed the water used in the cultivated land in the area for the shortage of groundwater in the area. As soon as this news came out, not only water experts started thinking with their fingers between their teeth, but also the local residents were shocked. The water used in the cultivation of potatoes and other vegetables is being released from the ground and given back to the ground, which can be called a water circle, and then this water goes back into the ground or evaporates and helps in forming clouds in the atmosphere, while millions of gallons of water used daily in many cement factories are used in making cement and are lost.

In view of the clear orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the protests of the local people for the past few months, the cement mafia, through its supporters, has started blaming the cultivation of potatoes and vegetables for the shortage of water. It should be remembered that during the recent drought, the water level in the Salt Range area was 3 to 400 feet deep. A severe water crisis is emerging due to the desertification, which could lead to drought here in the coming years.
