After the pipeline laid under the Abbottabad Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Improvement Project, it has become a norm to leave the work incomplete. The work of paving the road and removing debris on the Link Road Kunj Road has not been completed yet. Even after months, no notice has been taken to ease the inconvenience to the public and slow down the flow of traffic. The Deputy Commissioner has been demanded to reprimand the relevant authorities and contractors and complete the work.

The Rs 11 billion project is showing irregularities at various places in Abbottabad. According to the details, the alleged favoritism of the gravity flow scheme contractor has blinded the eyes of the officers. Despite repeated pointing out by the media, no one is ready to miss a beat. The use of substandard material in the installation of the pipeline is a matter of suspicion, and the contractor’s stubbornness in removing debris from congested roads and re-paving them is being considered an insult. Citizens have strongly appealed to the authorities.

It is requested that the incomplete work after the installation of pipes at various places in the city including Kunj Road and Link Road should be completed immediately so that the difficulties of the people can be resolved. The citizens have also demanded that NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa take suo motu notice of the alleged corruption in the project.
