Dhudial: Reports have surfaced of conflicts, groupings, and ineffective administration among the staff of the “model” District Public School Chakwal in the Chakwal district. One major reason for this situation is allegedly the Vice Principal’s extremely inappropriate behavior towards teachers.
Sources indicate that during a recent staff meeting, the female Vice Principal lost her temper over a question asked by a senior teacher. She then treated the teacher with extreme disrespect in front of all 60 teachers and used inappropriate language.
Reports also suggest that the Principal of the District Public School lacks autonomy and leadership skills. It is alleged that she has assigned certain staff members as informants, referring to them as “Coordinators.” These coordinators were appointed without a Board of Governors meeting or any merit-based selection process. The first appointed coordinator has become a major source of distress for the entire staff due to her incompetence.
Surprisingly, all of this is happening just a few hundred yards from the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Chakwal, while the Chairperson of the District Public School’s Board of Governors is none other than the Deputy Commissioner of Chakwal herself.
The Vice Principal’s offensive behavior and the Principal’s appointment of favored individuals as coordinators have caused serious concern among the staff. They argue that bypassing senior and competent teachers in favor of junior and unqualified ones for coordinator roles is worsening the school’s administrative condition. They believe that when an incompetent and junior teacher tries to impose authority over senior teachers due to their coordinator position, it will naturally provoke a reaction.
In response to the current situation at District Public School Chakwal, public circles and parents of students have urged Deputy Commissioner Chakwal, Qurat-ul-Ain Malik, to take immediate notice. They demanded the removal of the Vice Principal for her offensive behavior and the coordinators appointed without merit to restore stability and harmony within the school.
