Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Muhammad Shahab Aslam has directed all government departments and municipal authorities in Chakwal and Talagang to ensure strict compliance with the Punjab government’s Dengue Control Action Plan SOPs within their respective jurisdictions. He also emphasized the need to raise public awareness at the grassroots level regarding preventive measures against dengue.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee (DERC). The meeting was attended by CEO Health Dr. Saeed Akhtar, CEO Education Muhammad Safdar Malik, and other officials from relevant departments.
During the briefing on dengue prevention, CEO Health Dr. Saeed Akhtar stated that no dengue cases have been reported so far. On this occasion, the ADCR stressed the need to enhance surveillance efforts effectively, ensuring a well-coordinated and strengthened approach. He highlighted that eliminating the factors and sources responsible for dengue larvae breeding can be achieved by promoting a dry and clean environment. He further urged the district and tehsil-level administrations of all municipal and government offices to work diligently to prevent the formation of potential dengue breeding sites.
