Under the directives of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, and as part of the good governance/public agenda, Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir Muhammad Arif Khan instructed Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Timergara, Zaid Safi, to take action against shopkeepers for encroachments on footpaths. These encroachments were causing disruptions to public movement and traffic flow.The Assistant Commissioner promptly addressed the issue, removing the encroachments. Additionally, the national identity cards of some shopkeepers were confiscated, and legal action will be taken against them. Shopkeepers were instructed not to park handcarts or vehicles in front of their shops. Those who fail to comply with these instructions will face strict legal consequences.
At the Bypass Golden Market area, local residents reported to the Assistant Commissioner about dangerously low-hanging electrical wires, which pose a significant risk of a major accident. The Assistant Commissioner assured them that the issue would be resolved promptly.
The public appreciated the district administration for the action taken against the encroachments. DSP Iqbal Naseem, SHO Timergara, and a large contingent of police and Levies personnel were present on the occasion.
