ACE KP Uncovers Corruption and Recovers State Land in Recent Operations

Peshawar: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues its robust operations across the province to curb corruption, ensure transparency, and protect public resources. Significant breakthroughs were made in recent inquiries into irregularities and misuse of authority, resulting in arrests and recovery of state land.

An inquiry into complaints about irregularities in the construction of Levies Line revealed corruption in funds and misuse of authority, causing a loss of over Rs 5.5 million to the government treasury. Following these findings, the ACE registered an FIR against the former Deputy Commissioner of Lower Dir for misuse of authority and causing financial loss to the government. The accused has been arrested and is being held accountable for his actions.

During an inquiry into complaints of illegal occupation of Forest Department land in Nawaghe, Buner, the ACE team uncovered unauthorized occupation of 47 kanals of land valued at Rs. 3 crore 64 lac. The land was successfully recovered and handed over to the Forest Department in the presence of the Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Department officers, and police officials.
