Pakistani filmmaker Abu Aleeha has described Fahad Mustafa as a more versatile actor than Fawad Khan, praising his ability to excel across multiple genres during a recent podcast appearance.
Sharing his personal opinion, Abu Aleeha compared two of Pakistan’s biggest stars and said Fahad Mustafa’s performances in television and cinema demonstrate a broader acting range.
Abu Aleeha Highlights Fahad Mustafa’s Versatility
During the podcast, Abu Aleeha said Fahad Mustafa has consistently delivered strong performances in romantic, comedy, and action roles, making him one of Pakistan’s most accomplished actors.
He added that if Fahad explores more art-house cinema, he believes the actor has the potential to surprise audiences with even more powerful performances.
Recommends Mah-e-Meer
Abu Aleeha also recommended the 2016 biographical film Mah-e-Meer, inspired by the life of legendary Urdu poet Mir Taqi Mir.
The film was directed by Anjum Shahzad and written by Sarmad Sehbai, and is regarded as one of Pakistan’s notable literary films.
Fahad Mustafa’s Acting Journey
Fahad Mustafa began his acting career in 2003 with the television serial Umrao Jaan Ada before gaining recognition through dramas including Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Daagh, and Dusri Biwi.
He entered Pakistani cinema with Na Maloom Afraad in 2014 and earned widespread acclaim for Actor in Law, winning awards for Best Actor and Best Film.
After a nine-year break from television, Fahad returned in 2024 with Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, alongside Hania Aamir. His performance earned him the Lux Style Award for Best Actor (Popular).
