The Abbottabad High Court’s decision to dry up the river that is a highlight of the beauty of Abbottabad Galiyat, and to lay a two-foot pipeline from the river water, to protect the lands from becoming barren, has been challenged by the Abbottabad Action Committee in the Supreme Court, the highest court of Pakistan. According to the details, the officials of the Dara Action Committee, Shahzad Gul, Malik Aftab, Malik Faisal and other officials have approached the Supreme Court through the Supreme Court’s senior lawyer Malik Akhlaq Awan against the decision of the Peshawar High Court Abbottabad bench in the case against laying a two-foot pipeline from the river. The Supreme Court has been requested that the pipeline scheme will dry up the beautiful valley of Galiyat, which will affect millions of people. The enemies of Galiyat say that such schemes will dry up the river from the Dara Galiyat, which will destroy the beauty of the entire area. For this, a request has been made in the High Court petition on this scheme to stop this scheme. The Supreme Court Talking to the media outside, Darra Action Committee leader Shahzad Gul said, “We have filed a case in the Supreme Court of Pakistan today. We first filed a case in Abbottabad High Court, but did not get a satisfactory response.” The problem of Galiat is not the problem of any single individual. Millions of people are affected by the water problem here. If the Doft pipeline passes, the only river will dry up, which will destroy the beauty of the area. Therefore, respecting the public mandate, we have come to the Supreme Court with the request of millions of people. We are hopeful that we will get justice from here. We are hopeful that we will get relief from the Supreme Court. We are standing for our rights and the rights of the people of the area.” Development Bank and the government are our doors. We will knock on every door to get our rights and those of the people of the area.
