Abbottabad Domestic Dispute Turns Fatal

A woman was killed during a domestic dispute involving her daughter-in-law in Nari Hotar Batala village, within the jurisdiction of Bakot Police Station’s Kohala Outpost in Abbottabad, police said.

Two women and a man have been named as suspects in connection with the incident, while the deceased woman’s body was shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Abbottabad for a post-mortem examination.

SP Havelian Circle Jameel-ur-Rehman Qureshi confirmed the incident and said police had launched an investigation.

Dispute Escalates Into Fatal Attack

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred in the village located in Union Council Birot following a dispute between family members.

The daughter-in-law, identified as the wife of Ehsan Manzoor Abbasi, reportedly had a pending khula case in court amid ongoing domestic differences.

Police said the woman arrived at the house with her mother and uncle to collect her belongings. A heated argument reportedly followed and escalated into a physical altercation.

During the confrontation, the mother-in-law sustained serious injuries to her head and abdomen and died at the scene.

Police Launch Investigation

After receiving information about the incident, Bakot SHO Channan Khan reached the scene with a police team and initiated legal proceedings.

DSP Galyat and SP Havelian Circle Jameel-ur-Rehman Qureshi are supervising the investigation.

Police have identified suspects and are conducting further inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing. The post-mortem examination is expected to help determine the exact cause and nature of the injuries.
