Abbottabad Conference Calls for Protection of Belief in Finality of Prophethood

ABBOTTABAD: Speakers at the 39th annual conference of the World Assembly for the Protection of the Finality of Prophethood in Abbottabad emphasised the importance of the belief in the finality of Prophethood in Islam.

The conference was attended by religious scholars, clerics, madrasa students, traders, spiritual figures and other participants.

Central leader of the organisation, Maulana Qazi Ehsan Ahmed, who was the chief guest, said the belief in the finality of Prophethood was a fundamental principle of Islam. He also described efforts to promote and protect the belief as a religious responsibility.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Ehsan Ahmed expressed sectarian views regarding the Ahmadiyya community and called on Muslims to avoid social and economic interaction with its members and products.

He further said that Muslims would continue to make sacrifices to protect what they regard as the doctrine of the finality of Prophethood.

Maulana Noor Muhammad Hazarvi also addressed the conference and spoke about the importance of the belief among Muslims.

The event was attended by patron of the organisation in Abbottabad Qazi Arshad Hussaini, District Ameer Mufti Zubair Salah, District Khatib Mufti Hameed-ur-Rehman Qureshi, District President Waqar Gul Jadoon, spiritual leader Dr Abdul Salam and All Traders Federation President Sardar Shahnawaz.

A large number of religious scholars, madrasa students and other participants were also present.

The speakers reiterated their commitment to promoting awareness about the finality of Prophethood and urged participants to remain committed to their religious beliefs.
