Abbottabad A ceremony was organized by the Abbottabad Zakat and Ushr Department to distribute cheques worth Rs. 200,000 each to 50 newly married couples in the four tehsil councils of Abbottabad, with Member Provincial Assembly Rajab Ali Abbasi as the special guest. Commissioner Hazara Division Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Chairman Provincial Zakat Council Syed Imtiaz Khan Advocate, Deputy Secretary Zakat and Ushr Mubashir Raza, District Chairman Zakat Committee Tariq Mahmood also addressed the ceremony. Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Sanaullah Khan, District Police Officer Umar Tufail Gandapur, Assistant Commissioner Zarqa Yar Toro, former District Nazim of PTI Sardar Saeed Anwar, General Secretary of Women Wing Hazara Shakeela Rabbani, chairmen of local Zakat committees, newlywed brides and grooms and their dear relatives were present on the occasion. Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Rajab Ali Abbasi said that according to Imran Khan’s vision, the state of Medina was talked about where the most Equality is treated. Marriage is a sacred relationship.
May the blessings of this relationship always remain. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has set an excellent example with mass marriages, which can be done with simplicity, away from marriages tied to social chains. There is a need to get rid of the outdated customs of society. Due to which a family gets stuck in debt after marriage. Today, it should be resolved to provide higher education to their children instead of extravagance during marriages. So that they can become the best citizens of the society. He emphasized that this burden will also be removed from the heads of the families whose children are waiting for marriage. This process will continue in the future. He also congratulated the newly married couples. At the ceremony, Commissioner Hazara Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah said that the curse of dowry in the society kills girls. Today, the organization of this ceremony with great simplicity is commendable. The role of husband and wife in improving the relationship between two families after marriage is important. He urged the new couples to accept their in-laws with mutual respect so that they can live a happy life. He further said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur also wanted to participate in this prestigious ceremony.
Due to government engagements, the ceremony was postponed according to his instructions. was held. Earlier, District Chairman Tariq Mahmood said that there are 223 local Zakat committees in Abbottabad, in which 136 deserving girls received dowry quota. The selection of deserving people has been made after strict scrutiny. Roshan Mustaqbal is also starting financial assistance for orphans and Sahara Card widows. They will be given a monthly honorarium of Rs. 5,000. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will give cheques worth Rs. 200,000 each to the girls of these deserving families in Abbottabad. There will be no deduction of any kind. Special guest MPA Rajab Ali Khan Abbasi and Commissioner Hazara also distributed cheques worth Rs. 200,000 on behalf of the government and a banquet was also held.
