A total of 3,192 tons of sacrificial animal waste was disposed of across Jhelum District during Eid-ul-Adha. For this purpose, 594 vehicles and machines, along with 1,667 personnel, were deployed. This was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner Jhelum, Maysam Abbas, during a meeting with local journalists.
He stated that, following special instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, all arrangements in Jhelum District — as in the rest of Punjab — were finalized prior to Eid. The biggest administrative challenge during Eid was the disposal of sacrificial waste. To address this, the district administration formed a squad of 1,667 personnel, which included staff from Rawalpindi Waste Management Company as well as employees from the Municipal Committee, District Council, and Tehsil Committees.
This team was equipped with 594 tractor trolleys, mini tippers, loader dumpers, and other machinery. During the three-day operation, 1,228 tons of waste were collected from Tehsil Jhelum,
