A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sindhu, and President of the Bar Association Jhelum, Malik Rizwan-ul-Haq. The purpose of the MoU is to provide free legal assistance to deserving and underprivileged individuals at the district level.
The Secretary of the Bar Association was also present on the occasion. Under the MoU, a 20-member panel of lawyers has been formed, which will provide free legal representation to deserving individuals in Jhelum, Sohawa, and Pind Dadan Khan.
According to the DPO Jhelum, this partnership is a welcome initiative and an excellent example of mutual cooperation between the police and the legal fraternity. The President of the Bar Association stated that all possible support will continue for the promotion of social justice.
