Pakistani national cricket team fast bowler and Karachi Kings star in Pakistan Super League (PSL), Hassan Ali, has acknowledged the sacrifices of his Indian wife, Samiya Arzoo.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Hassan Ali revealed details about how he met his wife, mentioning that their first meeting took place in Dubai, where he was immediately attracted to her. He admitted that they met several times before making the decision to marry, which he described as a difficult choice, giving all the credit to his wife for making it happen.
When asked about the challenges of meeting due to being in different countries and visa issues, Hassan Ali explained that he visited his in-laws during the 2023 World Cup. He had informed his wife before their marriage that due to cricket commitments, he couldn’t stay in Dubai all the time but would spend a few years there before moving back to Pakistan.
He shared that his wife sacrificed her job in Emirates to support him. Currently, she is residing with him in Pakistan, and they now have two children.
Discussing his selection for the 2023 World Cup, Hassan Ali mentioned that he didn’t expect to make it to the squad. Just a month earlier, he had stated during an interview in England that his performance wasn’t strong enough to be part of the mega event.
When questioned about the rumor that Babar Azam used his influence to get him into the World Cup squad, he clarified that the captain might suggest a player but that the final decision lies with the board and management.
Hassan Ali married Indian citizen Samiya Arzoo in Dubai in 2019.
