Dhudial: A meeting regarding PITC’s new software was held in IESCO Circle Chakwal under the chairmanship of SE Chakwal, Waheed Ahmad Abbasi. During the meeting, SE Waheed Ahmad Abbasi briefed the officers of Chakwal Circle, stating that the session was being conducted in accordance with instructions from the Ministry and Head Office.
While briefing about the tagging of high-loss feeders, he emphasized the importance of controlling losses. He stressed that field officers must identify high-loss transformers and mentioned that in the future, losses and recovery would be monitored at the transformer level instead of the feeder level. He further instructed that feeder coding and other issues should be resolved before the restart of the billing cycle.
To ensure accurate readings, MRS teams must conduct meter reading on-site. He emphasized that the Ministry and Head Office are closely monitoring the entire system, and efforts to cover losses must continue until the issue is resolved. There is no alternative to this.
He directed that no leniency should be shown toward electricity thieves, and efforts to curb power theft should be intensified. He also highlighted the importance of working diligently on LV proposals to improve the system. The safety hazard budget still has significant funds available, and it is essential to focus on utilizing them effectively.
Additionally, SE Waheed Ahmad Abbasi announced that, in the near future, every complaint and new connection process would be operated through a single application. He concluded the meeting by listening to the challenges faced by field staff and assured them of prompt solutions.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commercial Manager Mudassir Nawaz Sial, Technical Assistant Wahab Khan, Circle Superintendent Bilal Nazir, and all XENs, SDOs, and relevant staff of Chakwal Circle.
