Indian politician Tejashwi Yadav has spoken in favor of sending the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
According to Indian media reports, Tejashwi Yadav, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, demanded that politics be kept separate from sports. He stated, “In the Olympics, doesn’t everyone compete against each other? Why can’t the Indian team go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy?”
He questioned, “If Narendra Modi can go to Lahore to eat biryani, what’s the harm in sending the cricket team?”
It is noteworthy that Tejashwi Yadav, a senior Indian politician, is also a former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.
Pakistan is set to host the Champions Trophy, and ICC regulations require the tournament schedule to be announced 100 days prior. However, with only 90 days left, the ICC has yet to release the schedule due to India’s obstinacy.
