SWAT: A woman and her alleged acquaintance were shot dead in Swat district here on Thursday, while at least 5 people including a father and son were killed in various incidents. Officials confirmed.
According to details, the tragic incident of honor killing took place in the upper hilly area of Taran in Tehsil Kabal of Swat District.
SHO Police Station Shah Dherai Muhammad Arif said that the accused Yusaf Shah son of Gul Zamin opened a fire on twenty-years-old, Hazratullah son of Kabal Khan resident of Bela Asharay of Kabal Tehsil and his sister-in-law Shagufta wife of Mian Sahib Jan and killed them.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to the Deolai Hospital for post-mortem and while chasing the fleeing accused Yusaf Shah, arrested him along with the murder weapon Kalashnikov.
SHO Arif further informed that Mian Sahib Jan, the husband of deceased Mst Shagufta has been living abroad for the purpose of labor for two years.
The police have registered a case of double honor killing against the accused and started further investigation.
On the other hand, the accused killed the opponent by firing on previous enmity in Kaduna Area of Manglawar Police station.
According to SHO police station Manglawar Rahim Khan, accused Syed Alam son of Ruidad and Khaista Rehman son of Karimdad allegedly shot and killed Sardar Ali son of Amanullah.The body has been shifted to Mangalore hospital for post-mortem and Manglawar police have registered a case against the two accused on the complaint of the victim’s brother Azim Khan and started searching for them.
Apart from this, the accused Momin Khan, resident of Sarbala in Kabal Tehsil, opened fire on his ex-wife Mst Naz Begum who was coming for a history appearance at the Judicial Complex, Kabal. From which she narrowly escaped.
The traffic police officers present at the spot took the accused into custody and handed him over to the police of Kabal police station. The police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
Apart from this, at least 4 people, including a father and a minor son, died and 2 others sustained injuries, during a collision between a truck and a Suzuki pick-up in Kanju area of Kabal Tehsil of Swat.
SHO Kanju police station Gohar Ali said that the tragic incident took place early in the morning, when there was a horrific collision between a Suzuki pick-up going to Mingora from Matta and a truck coming from the opposite direction.
As a result, the driver of the Suzuki pickup, Abdul Wahab resident of Kalakot Matta, his seven-year-old son Zaryab and one person Abdul Ghafar resident of Shangwatai area of Matta Tehsil were died on the spot and two other persons Akbar Khan resident of Bara Bandai and Samiullah resident of Kalakot were injured.The injured have been shifted to Saidu Teaching Hospital for immediate medical assistance, but ہne of the injured died of his injuries.
The police have arrested the truck driver Gulzar resident of Bara Bandai and registered a case against him.
