Health experts on Saturday stressed the importance of public awareness on early detection and adopting a healthy lifestyle to manage heart disease. They note that heart patients should stay hydrated even in hot, dry climates.
In an interview on PTV news channel, senior cardiologist Major General Azhar Mehmood Kiyani said that heart disease can be eradicated with simple lifestyle changes.
He said it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and participate in regular exercise to protect against heart conditions.
Dr. Kiyani highlighted the importance of taking heart disease seriously and preventing it. He identified diabetes, hypertension, smoking and a sedentary lifestyle as major contributors to heart disease.
He said, hypertension does not only affect the elderly but also the younger population.
In terms of preventive measures, Dr. Kiyani recommends practices such as meditation, yoga, and meditation to effectively manage stress and promote general well-being.
He also stated that a nutritious breakfast every day is important for overall health.
