Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa said on Friday that mud culture cannot be completely eradicated, but it can definitely be reduced.
CJ Isa in his speech at the swearing-in ceremony of the Supreme Court Press Association said that judicial reporting is a difficult task.
The Chief Justice administered the oath to the new members. Hakim Athar Minallah, Jamal Khan Mandokhail and Naeem Akhtar Afghan were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Justice said that he and his mother, Qazi Faez Isa, wrote the article several years ago. Writing in those days involved a lot of research. “Now it’s easy to say whatever comes to mind,” the chief justice said.
The Chief Justice said that he had drafted press rules and published them in book form.
He said that the issue of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had been resolved and now he could form an opinion on it. The Lahore High Court wrote 627 paragraphs, while the Supreme Court wrote 963 paragraphs in the Bhutto case.
