MAKKAH AL MUKARRAMAH: Minister of Religion and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain on Monday attended a one-day symposium organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to share Hajj plans to serve the guests of Allah SWT in the Holy Land.
The minister was accompanied by Director General (Hajj) Abdul Wahab Soomro, Director (Hajj) Faheem Afridi and other senior officials from Pakistan and the Ministry of Hajj.
The 48th Great Hajj Symposium titled “No Hajj Without Permission”, was initiated by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and was attended by ministers and scholars from various countries.
The Symposium is a key platform for intellectual leadership and knowledge exchange, and promotes a deeper understanding, appreciation and understanding of the spiritual, cultural and social dimensions of the Hajj tradition.
The speakers highlighted the Kingdom’s achievements in serving pilgrims, major projects and the development of two holy mosques.
Emphasizing the importance of the Kingdom’s culture and civilization to serve the pilgrims, he stressed the principle of peaceful intellectual dialogue on issues related to the Hajj season.
This symposium aims to establish general principles for collective action in answering questions about faith, nation and culture for the Islamic world.
In addition, he focuses on developing constructive contacts with institutions, scientific forums and specialized researchers worldwide.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah, in his welcome speech, explained the purpose of the annual symposium and the Kingdom’s steps to ensure the smoothness of the Hajj with complete safety and maximum facilities for pilgrims.
Sheikh Dr. Fahad Al-Majid, Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars, spoke on behalf of the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, while Dr. Muhammad Alissa, Secretary General of the World Muslim League, praised the Saudi Arabian government’s Hajj measures and efforts to ensure comfort and hassle-free pilgrims.
The symposium also featured panels on Hajj Law and Jurisdiction, Facilitation and Mitigation of Challenges in Islamic Law, Guidelines for Compromising Agreements According to Jurists, and Agreements in Hajj Rituals. and its effect on ritual facilitation. “
