Riyadh: On Thursday Saudi authorities announce that crescent moon has been sighted in kingdom and first day of Zil Haj will fall on June 7 (Friday).
According to the statement of the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia: “Day of Arafat, June 15, Saturday and June 16, Sunday will be the first day of Eid ul-Azha”
According to reports, the ninth day of Zil Hajj (June 15) falls on the day of Arafat. Again, the first day of the holy month is the 7th of June, and the first day of Eid ul Azha is the 10th of Dzulhijjah.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Pakistan is expected to mark the Zil Haj month on Friday (June 7).
Chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz told Private News channel that Zil Haj will be born on June 6 at 5:38 pm.
“It is likely that moon will visible on 7 June, a period of more than 26 hours,” he said.
