Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Chinese Delegation Visit Khewra Salt Mine to Explore Pakistan’s Natural Wonders

Pind Dadan Khan (Mushtaq Raza) — Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, along with a Chinese delegation, visited the Khewra Salt Mine. The Managing Director of the Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), Asad Ahmad, warmly welcomed the guests.

Chinese Delegation Welcomed at LCI Soda Ash Factory

Upon their arrival, the delegation first visited the LCI Soda Ash Factory, where the Chairman and General Manager of LCI hosted a special reception for Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and the accompanying guests. The owner of Pepsi Cola and other notable members of the business community were also present.

Special Reception for Guests at Khewra Salt Mine

Later, the Speaker and the delegation proceeded to the Khewra Salt Mine, where Managing Director Asad Ahmad and Project Manager Malik Naeem Waghara gave an excellent reception to the distinguished guests.

Delegation Impressed by Salt Mine’s Beauty and Heritage

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and the Chinese delegation toured the salt mines, witnessing up close the captivating beauty hidden in the foothills of Pakistan’s mountains. From the stunning deposits of transparent salt to the prominent architectural structures carved entirely from Himalayan salt, the guests observed the heritage and natural wonders that make Khewra a true treasure.

The delegation appreciated the safety measures, guided tour, and the unique environment of the world’s second-largest salt mine. It proved to be a remarkable cultural exchange and a proud moment in showcasing Pakistan’s natural assets to international visitors.

Ayaz Sadiq Praises PMDC Management for Improvements

On this occasion, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq praised the performance of Managing Director Asad Ahmad and his team, stating that the improvements in restoration, tourist facilities, and administrative affairs of the Salt Mine are commendable.
