- Charsadda: The Hamza Foundation organized a Thalassemia Awareness Seminar at Government Degree College Tangi, Charsadda, aimed at educating students about this hereditary blood disorder, its risks, and effective methods of prevention.
Dr. Tariq Khan, Medical Director of Hamza Foundation, delivered a detailed lecture highlighting modern strategies and effective measures for thalassemia prevention.
During his address, Dr. Tariq Khan stressed the critical importance of pre-marital thalassemia testing, stating:
“A simple blood test can save future generations from lifelong suffering. The dream of a thalassemia-free Pakistan will only be realized when every family makes pre-marital screening their priority.”
The seminar was attended by Principal Muhammad Idrees, Professor Muhammad Jan, faculty members, and a large number of students, who appreciated the awareness efforts of Hamza Foundation.
More than 1,800 students participated enthusiastically in the event and pledged their support and cooperation in the Foundation’s upcoming thalassemia prevention campaign.
